Questions

Is the free version really free?

Yes. The statistics engine, syntax, file formats and exports are free for students, teaching and personal research. The browser version needs no account.

Does any of my data go to the cloud?

No. The engine runs on your computer, or inside your browser for the web version. AI features only talk to model servers you configure, and Local Only mode blocks everything else.

Which AI models work?

Any model served by Ollama, LM Studio, llama.cpp or another OpenAI-compatible server. StatLens rates each model on statistics tasks so you know what to expect.

Can I open my SPSS files and syntax?

Yes. StatLens reads and writes .sav and .zsav, reads .por, and converts SPSS syntax into StatLens syntax. StatLens is not affiliated with IBM.

Which platforms are supported?

macOS today, plus the browser version on any modern browser. Windows and Linux builds are next.

What will Pro cost?

Pro is free during the beta. We'll announce pricing before launch, and beta users will hear first.
